Treatments

ABHYANGA - FULL BODY MASSAGE

A full body experience using long rhythmic strokes to invite the body into a deep state of rest while detoxifying internal organs, grounding the activity of the mind and nervous system, and providing deep nourishment to all layers of the tissue.

Unlike Swedish or deep tissue massage, which focuses primarily on the muscles, Abhyanga massage also stimulates the lymphatic system and energy points. It is a holistic approach to wellness that addresses the individual's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

SHIRODHARA - OIL POURING

Deeply healing for the mind and among one of the most sacred treatments within the realm of Ayurveda, shirodhara is a therapy that uses a continuous stream of warm, medicated oil poured over specific energy (or marma) points along the forehead.

The warmth and weightedness of the oil streaming over the forehead releases tension, stress and anxiety from the mind space and brings one into a bliss-like state of being.

Especially beneficial for chronic headaches and migraines, improving sleep and entering one’s innermost realm of meditative stillness.

BASTI - OIL POOLING

The treatment focuses on relieving tension, injury, misalignment, and imbalance within the body using a well of dough to pool medicated herbal oils on the targeted area.

The preparation and application is unique for each body, constitution, and imbalance. Deeply healing for conditions related to the low back, uterus, navel (for digestion), heart, thyroid, adrenals, and knees, these therapies invite penetrating heat to the area of treatment allowing the medicinal qualities of the herbs and oil to heal, to regenerate, and release tension from the tissues of the body.

POSTPARTUM CARE

For a mother, the first 42 days and the fourth trimester, is a deeply transformational time in Ayurvedic tradition.

The quality of care that a mother receives in her first 42 days postpartum speaks to the quality of health that she will experience in her body, her mind, and heart over the next 42 years, so the importance of maternal care, particularly in the first six weeks after childbirth, are critical and fundamental.

To support mothers during this time, services range from Ayurvedic food preparation, body therapies, belly binding and more.
